Fear ills more dreams than failure ever will Image

WHAT’S THERE TO LOSE?

3 weeks ago, my mind woke me up in the middle of the night pleading that the answer to my prayer had arrived. I had been telling God that I wanted to be more hands-on with my dream of helping my generation live “ The Kingdom’s Way”. I must be 100% honest with you, I do enjoy writing blog posts and sharing my ideas through social media, but at the same time, I’ve been feeling kind of fake. Here is why, nowadays it only takes a couple of searches on the web to realize that everyone is a coach, influencer, motivational speaker, and more. While I don’t mean to disrespect anyone who has attained these titles, when I look at myself in the mirror the person staring at the other side can’t help but ask “Are you starting to become one whose words and videos on social media seem so inspirational but behind closed doors you are not that person?” I do know what living in faith is! I could talk to you about the power of discipline as well, and we could sit for a coffee and discuss how choosing to follow my dream over money has paid off for me every time. However, all those things are in the past and while I believe there is a season for everything, lately I’ve discovered that Jesus did not only heal one sick person. No, he kept moving forward every day. He had a past that backed him up which made him the living proof of his sermons, but he wasn’t only the proof, he was an example. Imagine we are in a finance class and I am the professor, I could talk to you all day about how I once built an empire that was generating millions every year, but it went bankrupt and I was never able to get on my feet again after that hit. You wouldn’t be able to go back home and discuss with your parents how your professor in the present time is the CEO of a million-dollar company. While my credentials say I know how to be a millionaire (proof), my life shows the total opposite (example).

Why is it so hard to be an example? Well here are some answers my mind has given me… because it is better to stay in my comfort zone, because dreaming about it feels great but acting on it feels scary, because I am not capable, because I am less, because I will fail etc. Our minds would rather stay in the present we don’t like than welcome those crazy ideas into our lives all because of fear. You are the only one who knows if you are living up to your full potential… In my case, the answer is no, and that’s ok. It is better to be honest with ourselves and change than to live a life filled with lies. I can’t help but think about the parable of the talents. 3 servants were given a number of talents (money) according to their capacities. One servant received 5, the other 2, and the other 1. Their duty? To multiply them before their master came back home. The one who got 5 went to the markets, the lenders, and the businessman. The one who got 2 did the same, but the one who received 1 had fear of losing his talents, so he dug it in the ground and waited for his master to come back. When the master came back he was pleased with the servants who multiplied their investments but mad at the servant who had fear of losing what was given to him. What if your talents were those crazy ideas that knock at your door? What if those ideas were meant to become a reality and you are the channel that God is using to make it happen? Whether it seems too big or too small it doesn’t matter, all we need to do is risk it all and believe in it. Yes, it is scary but here is what I’ve told myself, What’s best?  to halfway invest or to fully invest? I believe that in this business of life there should be not room for halfway investments. We welcome the idea and we waste it all in the pursuit of it. My dream is to create a movement of young people who will not conform to living to the standards of this world, but to the standards of whom we really are ROYALTY. Social media and my website are just part of the investment, but there is much more to give than just these two… there is much more to become an example.

Your mind will always tell you that you can’t or that it is not possible, and maybe it is right because it is talking about your reality right now. -Juan you say you want to create a movement? Pfff you can’t even get people to constantly read the website. True! I tell my mind, but you know what? I will keep showing up. Not only on my website and on social media but wherever I can invest. I will waste it all in the pursuit of this dream because is worth it. What about you? What will you tell your mind? Are you going to let it convince you of the reasons why you can’t do it, or are you going to keep moving? Keep showing up? Keep investing? For there is nothing to lose and much to gain.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. I can’t leave without saying that this ride has been filled with ups and downs but one person has stayed faithful and that is Jesus. I want to encourage you to pursue a true relationship with him… it will revolutionize your life.
